The 100-mile walk is a community faith challenge on December 12th 7AM - 13th 10PM, where we’ll walk from First Baptist Waskom to Cypress Valley Bible Church—25 miles—and back, twice. You don’t have to finish all 100 miles, but we do want everyone to push themselves enough to lean on the Spirit and see God meet them in their weakness. We need walkers at every stage to encourage those striving to finish the full distance, and support vans will follow for anyone who needs a break. And if walking isn’t your role, we also need volunteers to help with rides, hydration, safety, and cheering people on. Every person—walker or volunteer—helps make this experience possible.
Please specify wether you intend to walk the full 100, as far as you can, or if you would like to walk when we need you to. Our full 100 walkers can not carry the cross all throughout the night. We NEED night time support walkers! If you would like to walk for a time, rest, and then come back to join us we can make that work as well. Walkers are the heart of this movement!
What we need MOST is support walkers. People to help carry the cross when numbers are low, to relieve our full-time walkers and help encourage them to finish. But if this is not possible for you - We need people to shuttle walkers back and forth between First Baptist Waskom and hwy 80. We need people to be follow cars - following those walking in a vehicle with flashers on for safety. We need some people to give short encouraging devotionals 5-10 minutes.
